DAILY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Teacup Mountain Wildlife and Recreational Area was once a working ranch, and today encompasses 12,000 acres of rugged, beautiful country. You can go back in time to when the Comanche’s traversed this region, and see what the real west was truly like. This is the first time this piece of wonderful land has been made available for public use.
Registration begins Friday afternoon, followed with a twilight ride. You will then return to camp for a hamburger fry with Cowboy potatoes, followed by campfire cowboy entertainment.
Saturday starts with breakfast before heading out for a great day of riding the trails. A noon lunch of mesquite smoked beef sandwich provided by one of Crowell’s champion cooks, with chips, drinks and dessert will quench your hunger pangs. The afternoon portion of the ride will commence in time for you to relax and refresh before partaking of the fine local cowboy cuisine on your own.
Sunday morning there will be a short ride to experience the morning splendor before loading up and heading for home.
AMMENITIES: There is adequate parking space for horse trailers with living quarters at the ‘Trailhead”. There are no hookups. There are large stock pens, so you might want to bring panels for separating your horse.
